Redevelopment of Abercarn Library, Phase 2

Demolition of the former library and builder’s merchants has made way for a brand new state of the art library, together with 10 two bedroom apartments for older people above the library.

Delivered in conjunction with Caerphilly County Borough Council, the apartments are exclusively for the over 55s, and are available on a ‘neutral tenure’ basis, which means they are available to either rent through Charter Housing or to buy through Fairlakeliving.  The homes will be ready in March 2012.

Located in a prominent position in Abercarn, the brand new library facility and high quality apartments will contribute significantly to the regeneration of Abercarn village.

Phase 1, known as “Cwrt Dyffryn” comprised 23 affordable apartments for sale and rent.
