Buying
You can buy a home at Mariners Quay by purchasing a share of what the property is actually worth. Buying a home this way will enable you to own your own home and enjoy lower monthly mortgage payments.

To purchase a home through fairlakeliving you will need to meet certain criteria. Please check out the following information to see if you qualify:
- You do not already own your own home or, if you have a property to sell you should, at the very least, have had an offer accepted on your property.
- Not be in serious debt on any existing loan.
- You are unable to afford a suitable property on full ownership.
- You are able to afford a mortgage for the percentage share on offer.
- Have a local connection to the City of Newport.
Switching between renting and buying (and the other way around)
We recognise people’s circumstances can change over time and we don’t want residents to move if they don’t have to. We may therefore be able to offer you the flexibility to switch tenure from renting to buying or buying to renting. All requests will be assessed on an individual basis and terms and conditions will apply.
